Andy’s 5 Rules for Health

  1. Eat to satisfy – don’t overeat. This is greed!
  2. Look after number 1. Andy trains every day and did so even before he became a full time personal trainer. It’s his thing,  it keeps him in touch with how his body is going and mentally its what keeps him feeling like himself.
  3. Pay attention to how you feel after you eat. We humans have an innate ability to know what is good for us and what isn’t. Even as a child Andy didn’t like butter and milk and he doesn’t tolerate them well as an adult, so he largely avoids consuming dairy.
  4. Positivity breeds positivity. Sort out your mindset by regularly seeking motivation, ensuring you’re in the right environment and setting goals. Andy tries to surround himself with inspiring people and doesn’t have time for drama. He has his own personal trainer to help him develop in areas where he’d like to improve and likes to do some sort of further education each year whether it be a course or seminar. He regularly listens to business, fitness and coaching podcasts while he’s training and will register for a few different fitness competitions or events each year to keep himself working towards something.
  5. Routine and habits. (If there was ever a more routine person I’m yet to meet them!) Always prepare, remove the
thought process and stress, and you remove the resultant negativity of trying to choose the best thing to eat or do. There is no stress or indecision if you get up at the same time every day, eat the same thing every day and go and train at the gym every day – its just what you do.
